ALISON GRAY EDITORIAL SERVICES
I am an award-winning and published writer, a creative writing teacher and group facilitator, and the assistant editor of the literary magazine, Skirting Around.
I love working in commercial and upmarket women’s fiction and have a special interest in narrative non-fiction and memoir.
I offer mentoring, developmental editing, and line and copy-editing.
I work with publishers, charities, academics, students, and self-publishers on theses, books, papers, and blogs.
My sweet spot is the area where spirituality, religion, human rights, body-awareness, well-being, and being-a-person-in-business intersect. I have taught yoga, set up a fair-trade promotions company, edited for the World Council of Churches in Japan, and run my own English school and editing business.
I have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a master's degree in Religious Studies.
I offer mentoring, developmental editing, and line and copy-editing.
A Qualified Editor
I received my copy-editing training through the Publishing Training Centre – attaining a merit in Essential Copy-Editing, and continued my professional development through the Chartered Institute for Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) in which I am an intermediate member.
I completed two courses in developmental editing with Liminal Pages and continue that study through regular meetings with other developmental editors.
